A Hurricane Fountain has only one purpose in life, and that’s to endlessly fill glasses with the delicious Rum-heavy cocktail. We’re getting one installed for Fat Tuesday and will be serving $5 Hurricanes all night long!
The Hurricane was originally made in the 1940s by tavern owner Pat O’Brien, who made the cocktail to get rid of enormous amounts of rum the distributors forced upon him. Poured into a distinctive hurricane-lamp-shaped glass, it’s become a bartender classic over the years, and the official drink of Mardi Gras.
